Philodendron Scandens - 'HeartLeaf Pothos'
5°C - 21°C
Medium, indirect light
Mexico, Brazil & the West Indies
There are 489 different species of philodendron across the globe, but there’s a reason this type of the family is so well loved, and it’s not just the shape of the foliage. Philodendron quite literally translates as ‘love tree’ in Greek (one for the language geeks out there) and is easily distinguishable from other plants due to their classic, heart-shaped leaves. Originating from Central America and the West Indies, it’s known for its fast growth in the wild, as well as it’s ease to adapt well to tricky conditions, such as using the trunks of trees as an almost ‘in the wild’ moss pole.
A relatively easy plant to look after, in that if you follow the very easy instructions, they’ll happily thrive inside your home, and are perfect for places that maybe don’t have a lot of space, as with the help of a pole they grow upwards instead of outwards.
(All plants come in plastic grow pot unless otherwise stated)
