Chlorophytum comosum - 'Spider Plant'
Native to South Africa, the Chlorophytum Comosum has the rather concerning name of ‘The Spider plant’. Arachnophobes fear not, as contrary to what we were told as children, this plant is not named after the fact that spiders lay their eggs in them, but rather that it’s spider-like plants, or spiderettes, dangle down from the mother plant like spiders on a web. What do mean that worse? Come back!
Considered one of the most adaptable houseplants on the market, it’s easy to grow nature, and no fuss care routine means that it’s great for a beginner looking to get into plants (it thrives in a wide range of conditions and suffers from very few issues, other than the tips turning brown). The growth rate is extremely fast, so be prepared to see the benefits of your time and care almost immediately.
(All plants come in plastic grow pot unless otherwise stated)
