The Coral Cactus can make your indoor jungle look like the ocean floor. A luxury Cactus that isn't actually a cactus makes it unique in the succulent world of houseplants.

Like most hybrid plants that are designed by humans, this cactus is in fact two succulents merged together, with one of those being a mutation of another, Euphorbia lacteal. It’s not as ‘playing with science’ as it sounds – plants, especially houseplants, are bread and grown in environments that create more interesting looking varieties. In fact, plants do this on their own in the wild. Coral Cactus ranges in colour from blue-grey to silver. The edges of the crests can turn pink when happily stressed.

Reminiscent of life you would find on the floor of the sea, these plants wouldn’t look out of place when deep sea diving, though like most succulents you don’t need to give it too much water (it looks like it should be in the sea, don’t actually put it in there). It’s interesting looking crown sits on a spiky stem, and easily becomes a talking point of most plant collections.
