Euphorbia Ingens branched - 'Candle Cactus'
Euphorbia is a fast-growing, succulent tree capable of reaching 15m in height, but is usually grown as a pot plant in UK homes, so don’t expect it to be towering over you by the end of the year.
A branching, leafless stems usually have four or five vertical ridges displaying smaller small spines. Mature plants can produce greenish-yellow flowers at the branch tips, followed by dark red to purple fruit, though it’s rare for them to flower in the heat of the UK. Euphorbia ingens or Candelabra tree belongs to family Euphorbiaceae.
They’re native to South Africa but can now be found in drylands across the world. As with all succulent trees, they’re easy to confuse with one another (it also goes by the common names cowboy cactus, good luck cactus). The foliage is basic but classic in design (if you asked someone to draw a cactus, they would draw this), and the care routine, like almost all succulent trees, is easy and stress free.
(All plants come in plastic grow pot unless otherwise stated)
Please note the plant shown in the picture is for illustration purposes only, you will receive the same size cactus.
